THE CHALLENGE
Visibility that required effort to find is not really visibility at all
VoltX Energy runs a NetSuite-enabled operations team managing its residential solar and battery installation projects. With a growing volume of jobs moving through the pipeline at any given time, from initial planning and scheduling through to on-site installation and completion, the operations team needed a way to see everything at once, not just query the system when they thought to look.
VoltX Energy’s operations team was using NetSuite to manage its installation projects, but the platform’s standard views were not designed for operational management at this pace. Planners, coordinators, and operations managers had to actively query the system to find out where things stood, rather than the system surfacing the information they needed the moment they needed it.
What VoltX needed wasn’t a new system or a complex implementation. It was a visual layer they could configure themselves, deploy fast, and adapt as the business grew, without depending on a developer or a partner every time something changed.
The specific requirements were straightforward:
THE SOLUTION
Two systems, one deadline,
and no margin for disruption
The entire opportunity from first contact to signed agreement took less than a week. From there, the engagement was deliberately lean: OneKloudX trained VoltX Energy’s internal NetSuite consultants on the Kanban Boards solution, provided configuration documentation and practical examples, and then stepped back.
VoltX Energy did the implementation themselves.
Throughout the engagement, OneKloudX remained available and responsive, typically responding to questions within 20 to 30 minutes. But the heavy lifting, the board design, the pipeline configuration, the production rollout, was done entirely by VoltX Energy’s own team. That was always the intention, and the solution was built to support exactly that outcome.

The Installation Pipeline, Configured by the Team
Who Run It
VoltX Energy configured the Kanban Boards to give its operations team a real-time visual view of every installation job across six stages: jobs awaiting scheduling, planned installations, work currently in progress, installations awaiting completion, completed projects, and operational exceptions requiring action. Because the team built the boards themselves, every stage reflects how they actually work, not how a consultant interpreted their requirements.

Product Enhancements, Driven by Real Use
As VoltX Energy used the product in practice, OneKloudX enhanced it in direct response to their feedback, including increasing board capacity, improving Google Maps integration, and refining address mapping functionality to support field scheduling. The product evolved alongside the team’s real operational requirements, not just the ones initially discussed.

Already Expanding
VoltX Energy is now in production and running the Kanban Boards independently. They have since set up a second Sandbox environment to configure additional boards for new use cases, expanding the solution on their own terms, at their own pace, without needing to re-engage OneKloudX to do it for them.
“The solution has greatly helped accelerate our progress and implementation timeline. The product has been helpful, and we appreciate the OneKloudX team’s support throughout.”

THE RESULTS
Live in under a week, self-sufficient from day one
VoltX Energy went from first conversation to live production deployment in under a week, with their own team doing the implementation. They have not needed to return to OneKloudX to maintain or adapt the platform since. That is what a well-designed, genuinely configurable product looks like in practice.
“We’re happy to support OneKloudX as a reference customer. The product has been helpful, and we appreciate the team’s support throughout our implementation.”
