THE ORGANISTION
A manufacturer and distributor of innovative environmental products
FieldTech Solutions designs and supplies environmental products, including its BioGone range, sold via e-commerce and a network of field consultants. Manufacturing, warehousing, e-commerce, and sales all run through NetSuite, giving FieldTech’s NetSuite footprint a wide cross-section of the platform.
THE CHALLENGE
A platform with untapped depth, surfaced through a hands-on site visit
Instead of working from a ticket queue, OneKloudX’s Account Manager spent a day on-site, walking the warehouse floor and sitting with Item Management, Finance, Purchasing, and CRM individually. What emerged was a NetSuite environment that had grown organically, with teams quietly working around gaps the platform could close natively.
Blind Spot 1:
Pricing Visibility
The team could see NetSuite’s standard Item pricing sublist, but not, at a glance, whether a price level was hitting target margin.
Desired markup lived only as an internal benchmark. Actual markup had to be worked out manually, item by item, price level by price level.
Blind Spot 2:
Pipeline Visibility
Sales was leaning on NetSuite CRM for quotes, but hadn’t adopted its lead-to-opportunity pipeline functionality.
That left the team with no clear, visual way to track deals moving through the pipeline.
The site visit also surfaced a longer list of opportunities across inventory, finance, and purchasing: manual bank reconciliation, a paper-based warehouse process built on packing slips and spreadsheets, and purchasing managed entirely outside NetSuite via manual exports.
THE SOLUTION
Two fast, high-impact fixes, with a longer-term roadmap
OneKloudX prioritised the two issues with the biggest commercial impact, margin and pipeline visibility, as scoped, fast-turnaround engagements, while documenting the rest of the roadmap for FieldTech to action over time.
Fix 01:
Margin visibility, built directly into the Item record
A custom pricing view on the Item record shows Desired Markup % (set by FieldTech), Actual Markup % (calculated automatically from base price and latest landed cost), and Margin $ for every price level at quantity zero.
Because NetSuite’s native pricing sublist can’t be altered directly, OneKloudX built a separate, view-only sublist purely for reporting, leaving the pricing engine itself untouched.
For the first time, FieldTech can see, on the Item record itself, whether Base, Wholesale, or Reseller pricing is hitting its intended margin. No spreadsheet required.
Fix 02:
Kanban Boards for a
visual sales pipeline
Kanban Boards for NetSuite across Opportunities, Quotes, Prospects & Leads, and CRM Activities — a visual, drag-and-drop way to manage pipeline that standard list views didn’t offer.
Licensed for up to 10 boards with unlimited users, giving the wider team room to extend the same NetSuite CRM workflow elsewhere in the business.
Fix 03:
A documented roadmap for what comes next
Site-visit findings were captured as a structured set of recommendations across Item Management, Finance, Purchasing, and CRM:
- Activating landed costs natively in NetSuite
- Automating EFT/ABA supplier payments
- Enabling 3-way PO matching
- Introducing reorder points and MRP for purchasing
- An intermediary warehouse digitisation step ahead of a full WMS
THE RESULTS
Fast wins that built into a continuous, year-long partnership
What started as a single on-site review has grown into an ongoing relationship. FieldTech has topped up pre-paid NetSuite support hours every few months since late 2024, a clear sign of sustained trust.
THE RESULTS
Fast wins that built into a continuous, year-long partnership
What started as a single on-site review has grown into an ongoing relationship. FieldTech has topped up pre-paid NetSuite support hours every few months since late 2024, a clear sign of sustained trust.

Margin visibility, without leaving the Item record
FieldTech now sees Desired Markup %, Actual Markup %, and Margin $ for every price level directly on the Item record, no more reconstructing margin calculations by hand.

A visual pipeline for the sales team
Kanban Boards gave the commercial team a drag-and-drop way to manage Opportunities, Quotes, and Leads, licensed for up to 10 boards with unlimited users.

A relationship that has compounded for over a year
Since the first 20-hour pre-paid engagement in August 2024, FieldTech has renewed at roughly 35 hours every quarter, sustained trust through to mid-2026.

A clear, prioritised roadmap
Beyond the two delivered fixes, FieldTech holds a documented set of recommendations across Finance, Purchasing, and Item Management, ready to scope as priorities allow.
WHY ONEKLOUDX
A relationship built on showing up, not just ticketing
What set this engagement apart was the approach. Rather than waiting for support tickets, OneKloudX’s Account Manager went on-site and sat with each team individually: Item Management, Finance, Purchasing, and CRM, to see how the business actually worked day to day. That discovery surfaced issues FieldTech had quietly been working around, and gave OneKloudX the context to prioritise the two fixes with the most immediate value.
That same approach carries through the ongoing relationship. FieldTech’s consistent pre-paid renewals, sustained for well over a year, reflect a NetSuite partner that responds fast, resolves issues right the first time, and keeps surfacing ways to get more value from the platform.
